You should begin by sewing E pieces to the opposite sides of your F piece. (Square in a square). Then sew the 2 D’s to opposite sides of the new square. Next sew the C pieces to the remaining (2) D pieces on both end of each. Then join to the remaining opposite sides of the new square. Join 5 B’s together 4 times and add to the four sides. And to complete the block add the A pieces to each corner. You can apply names/dates/info to the D blocks using any technique you wish.
